THEME: “Advancing research for a health Rwanda”
In a world where health challenges continue to evolve, it is essential to foster a connected research ecosystem that effectively addresses the unique needs of each country. The National Health Research & Policy Conference (NHRPC) aims to bring together researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to explore innovative solutions and collaborative strategies for enhancing the health research landscape of Rwanda.
We invite abstract submissions to the third NHRPC, organized by the Rwanda Biomedical Centre Research Innovation and Data Science Division (RIDS), Partners in Health/Inshuti Mu Buzima, The Clinton Health Access Initiative and other partners.
The submitted abstracts should align with the symposium’s theme, “advancing research for a healthy Rwanda” and one of the focused tracks, including:
Track 1: Infectious Diseases: This track will address the latest research, prevention, and treatment strategies for infectious diseases, emphasizing collaborative approaches to tackle emerging threats.
Track 2: Non-communicable Diseases and Mental Health: Focused on chronic diseases and mental health, this track will explore innovative research, interventions, and policies to improve overall health and well-being.
Track 3: Pandemic Preparedness: Given recent global challenges, this track will highlight strategies for pandemic preparedness, including surveillance, response mechanisms, and international collaboration.
Track 4: Data Science: Exploring the intersection of healthcare and data science, this track will delve into technologies and analytics applications to enhance healthcare decision-making, policy formulation, and overall efficiency.
Track 5: Clinical Trials: This track will showcase advancements in clinical trials, discussing research methodologies, ethical considerations, and the role of clinical trials in bringing new therapies to the forefront of healthcare.
Track 6: Maternal and Child Health: This track will focus on the recent advancements made in maternal and child health in Rwanda, as well as the challenges to be talked in the future.
Track 7: Innovation: Innovative ideas and projects that look forward at addressing Rwanda’s unique health systems strengthening goals will be the focus of this track.
