Launch of the National Health Research Agenda and National Strategic Plan for Research Innovation and Data Science: This launch is intended to introduce and gain widespread endorsement for Rwanda’s National Health Research Agenda and set clear priorities for health research that align with the country’s health needs.

Human Resources Capabilities Building in R&D: We will identify key areas for skill development in the field of R&D and establish initiatives for enhancing human resources capabilities in health research.

Day 1-2Parallel sessions

  1. Parallel Sessions on Health Tracks: These sessions will provide a platform for in-depth discussions on infectious diseases, chronic diseases, mental health, pandemic preparedness, data science, and clinical trials. They will also facilitate knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking among participants.
  2. Three Minutes Thesis (3MT) Session: This is a competition to showcase and reward innovative research efforts by early career  researchers in Rwanda and the East African Community. This competition provides a unique opportunity to profile and celebrate the innovative research conducted by postgraduate students and early career  researchers. Side Events Side Events

Development partners, private sectors players and other stakeholders in different domains are invited to organize side events aiming to solve public health alarming issues raised by national implementing programs. This side event is an opportunity to showcase the work from different players and discuss for these opportunities towards improvement of health care delivery in Rwanda. The events will be taking place from 7:00AM-8:00AM or 6:00PM-8:00PM. The interested partners will submit the concept note of their side event two weeks before the conference. Proof of commitment of fund for side event and submit booking of the venue.
