Study aim of the objectives

AIM
To investigate the effect of an educational supportive program to improve quality of life and
adherence to hemodialysis treatment among patients with ESRD in Rwanda

OBJECTIVES
1. To explore the educational supportive programs previously employed for patients with end-stage
renal on hemodialysis.
2. To describe the individual factors facilitating and impeding adherence to hemodialysis among
persons living with ESRD, in Rwanda.
3. To develop/adapt and validate an educational supportive program for persons with end-stage
renal disease on hemodialysis in Rwanda based on the results of objective one.
4. To pilot test the educational supportive program in terms of the outcomes adherence to
hemodialysis and quality of life among persons with end-stage renal disease in Rwanda.
