Call for AbstractsCall for Abstracts: The 3rd National Health Research & Policy Conference
The Conference will feature a diverse combination of keynote presentations, panel discussions, parallel sessions, and a 3MT competition. Keynote speakers and experts in health research will share insights, while panel discussions will facilitate in-depth conversations. Evening symposia will encourage informal networking, and the “Three Minutes Thesis” session will provide early career researchers with a platform to showcase their innovative research. Parallel sessions will provide a platform for in-depth discussions on various health-related topics. Participants can choose from the following tracks during parallel sessions:
Track 1: Infectious Diseases: This track will address the latest research, prevention, and treatment strategies for infectious diseases, emphasizing collaborative approaches to tackle emerging threats.
Track 2: Non-communicable Diseases and Mental Health: Focused on chronic diseases and mental health, this track will explore innovative research, interventions, and policies to improve overall health and well-being.
Track 3: Pandemic Preparedness: Given recent global challenges, this track will highlight strategies for pandemic preparedness, including surveillance, response mechanisms, and international collaboration.
Track 4: Data Science: Exploring the intersection of healthcare and data science, this track will delve into technologies and analytics applications to enhance healthcare decision-making, policy formulation, and overall efficiency.
Track 5: Clinical Trials: This track will showcase advancements in clinical trials, discussing research methodologies, ethical considerations, and the role of clinical trials in bringing new therapies to the forefront of healthcare.
Track 6: Maternal and Child Health: This track will focus on the recent advancements made in maternal and child health in Rwanda, as well as the challenges to be talked in the future.
Track 7: Innovation: Innovative ideas and projects that look forward at addressing Rwanda’s unique health systems strengthening goals will be the focus of this track.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts should be written in English and a maximum of 350 words; they should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) and Georgia font, size 11.
- The lead author should be the main person of contact; their email, affiliation, and telephone number should be included in the submission.
- All abstract submissions will undergo a peer-review process by the NHRPS Scientific Committee
- Accepted abstracts will be eligible for oral or poster presentations during the symposium.
