National Reference Laboratory

We are responsible for supporting the delivery of health services through the surveillance, prevention, diagnosis and management of disease by ensuring the provision of high-quality laboratory services at all levels of health care. We conduct research with other institutions and provide external quality control/assurance for public health facilities.

Our vision is to become a co-ordinated centre of excellence for medical laboratory diagnosis by providing quality laboratory services to ensure healthy people for a prosperous nation.

Let’s work towards the vulgarisation of laboratory services and the strengthening of the diagnostic network in Rwanda.
