RWANDA VACCINATES THOUSANDS AGAINST HEPATITIS B

The ministry of Health through Rwanda Biomedical centre (RBC) has surpassed the target numbers of Hepatitis vaccination and screening during the one and a half months campaign that is yet to end.
The countrywide campaign aimed at screening for Viral Hepatitis B and C and providing vaccination to over 250,000 individuals, but the intended numbers took a remarkable hike.
Sofar, 0ver one hundred seventy-six thousand four hundred ninety-one(176491) have been vaccinated against HBV while one hundred twenty-three thousand five hundred thirty-six (123536) have been screened for HBV and C, a day to the Campaign’s end , in Kamonyi, Kigali and Bugesera.
Kigali has over 5 sites that have been kept busy since Monday. The different sites have been give 5000 extra vaccination dozes.
