PHSEPR

(Public Health Surveillance and Emergency Preparedness and Response)

The Public Health Surveillance and Emergency Preparedness and Response Division has a cross-cutting role in the surveillance and response to high-priority diseases.

It prevents and controls epidemics and other public health emergencies in Rwanda by implementing the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) system, a comprehensive regional framework for strengthening national public health surveillance and response.

We have a special role in disease detection and response. Because infectious disease epidemics often cross borders, our role is to coordinate with other government agencies and international partners to detect and respond quickly and efficiently.

Let’s work together to support timely responses to epidemic-prone diseases and other health conditions in Rwanda through surveillance and reporting.
