The material’s objective is to strengthen national and sub-national preparedness and response capacities to achieve and sustain the elimination of human-to-human transmission of Mpox through implementation of evidence-based interventions aligned to the five core components of the WHO Health Emergency Prevention, preparedness, response, and Resilience (HEPR) framework.

Demographic and Health Survey 2014/2015 – Final report

The main objective of the 2014-15 Rwanda Demographic and Health Survey (RDHS) was to obtain current information on demographic and health indicators, including family planning; maternal mortality; infant and child mortality; nutrition status of mothers and children; prenatal care, delivery, and postnatal care; childhood diseases; and pediatric immunization.

In addition, the survey was designed to measure indicators such as domestic violence, the prevalence of anemia and malaria among women and children, and the prevalence of HIV infection in Rwanda.

For the first time, this 2014-15 RDHS also includes indicators to monitor HIV testing among children age 0-14 as well as domestic violence for males age 15-59.

Public Notice on Ebola July 2019

This is a public notice issued by the Government of Rwanda through its Ministry of Health (MoH) about the Ebola epidemic.

The Ministry published this notice in order to inform Rwandan citizens that the EVD case which was reported in the neighbouring town of Goma, DRC, should not be of concern. It states that the Government of Rwanda, in collaboration with the health authorities in DRC, have established preventive measures to halt the spread of the virus in Rwanda. It also states that no case of Ebola has ever occurred in Rwanda.

The MoH urges citizens to intensify preventive measures including cleanliness and screening after visiting areas affected by the disease.

Violence Against Children and Youth Survey: Findings from a National Survey, 2015-2016

This survey was conducted by The Ministry of Health in Partnership with UNICEF-Rwanda. It provides information on the rate of violence committed against children and youth in Rwanda. It will serve as a tool for concerned institutions to take action against any form of violence against youth and children.
