This three-year initiative, led by the Government of Rwanda with Pandemic Fund support, strengthens the healthcare system\u2019s preparedness, response mechanisms, and resilience against disease outbreaks.[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=&#8221;Key areas of focus include:&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Surveillance &amp; Early Warning:<\/strong> Integrating digital solutions for real-time disease monitoring.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Laboratory Capacity:<\/strong> Upgrading healthcare facility laboratories to enhance diagnostic capabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Health Workforce Development:<\/strong> Training health professionals and the community for outbreak response and infrastructure capacity building to improve rapid detection and containment efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Guided by the <strong>International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005<\/strong>, the project incorporates the needs of vulnerable communities and addresses critical gaps identified in <strong>Rwanda\u2019s Joint External Evaluation (JEE) 2018<\/strong> and <strong>Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) 2019<\/strong>, reinforcing the country\u2019s ability to detect, respond to, and mitigate health emergencies effectively.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By integrating human, animal, and environmental health approaches, SPPROHRW fosters collaboration among government agencies, national and global partners, civil society organizations, and local communities\u2014creating a <strong>robust and coordinated pandemic response system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With a focus on <strong>capacity-building, digital integration, and strategic emergency preparedness<\/strong>, this initiative aims to transform Rwanda\u2019s public health landscape, ensuring sustainable protection for communities nationwide.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;]<div class=\"fh-section-title clearfix  text-left style-1 version-dark has-icon\"><div class=\"container\"><h2> <span class=\"main-color\">Implementation<\/span><\/h2><span class=\"fh-icon\"><i class=\"fa fa-american-sign-language-interpreting\"><\/i><\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The SPPROHRW project will be implemented nationwide across all administrative levels, including national, provincial, district, sector, and community (village and cells) levels, as well as in the city of Kigali.
